Spring Fishing
During the spring months of March, April and May, as the water temperature warms, the bass move into shallow waters along the shoreline to spawn. The bass become very aggressive as they select their nesting sites on shallow rock and gravel banks. Lots of exciting bass action can be had casting artificial lures and hauling in plentiful catches. This is also the best opportunity to land a lunker. Once the bass have left the spawning beds, in late May and early June, the top-water bite begins in earnest as the hungry bass feed on schools of minnows near the surface.
