Summer Fishing
In the summer months of June, July and August, as the water temperature continues to warm, the bass and large bluegill school
up in deeper water off main lake points and islands. Live baits such as night crawlers and artificial baits such as tube jigs, grubs, spoons or plastic worms will all consistently produce stringers of fish. The locations and food preferences of the fish are very predictable at this time. This easy summer fishing is ideal for family outings. Fishing is done directly under the boat, so there's no need to cast. Pontoon boats or aluminum fishing boats provide plenty of safe space for the whole family. Using live night crawlers will yield a mixed catch of bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish for hours of fishing thrills.
